- We camp within ~150-mile radius of metro San Antonio or ~3 hour 's drive
- We typically meet the 2nd full weekend of each month, see our current schedule below
- In December we meet the 1st weekend
- Our “Wagon Master” scouts for new & exciting sites and makes the club reservation
- Each outing a theme is set by a “host” who selects our Friday evening potluck, prepares Saturday breakfast & dinner, as well as Sunday breakfast
- Members pay $25 a camp out to help pay for food costs, contribute to club charities, and pay for rally hall rentals as needed
- Member guests are welcomed
- Future members are welcome
Typical Weekend Events Schedule
Friday
- Members arrive throughout the day
- Free time to explore local area
- Happy hour – 3 pm
- Play cards and other games
- Bring snacks to share
- Bring your own beverage of choice
- Potluck dinner – 6 pm
- Each rig is expected to bring a dish and dessert to share
- Free time
Saturday
- Breakfast – 0830 am
- Quarterly chapter meeting after breakfast
- 50/50 raffle
- Lunch – on your own
- Free time to explore local sites
- Dinner provided by host – 6 pm
Sunday
- Breakfast & cleanup – 0830 am
- Free time to explore or wheels up
Our Club's History Exploring South Central Texas
Over 50 Year History
The Chapter was established in 1973 and is the longest standing Good Sam club in Texas . Members come from around the metro San Antonio, Texas area. We have no age limit, but many current members are retired and range from 50 to 70+ years old.
We are family oriented & pet friendly.
Where are current members are from
San Antonio, Bulverde, Helotes, Gonzalez, Marble Falls, New Braunfels, China Grove, McQueeney, Schertz and Sequin.
We support our Military
San Antonio is Military City USA. Over the years, America's service members selflessly put their lives on the line to keep us safe and free. Our Club takes great pride in recognizing their service and welcome other to join us in our efforts. You will find that our club members from all walks of life as military verterans and civilians that have served during both war and peace times keeping our country safe. We never take their serice for granted. In our meetings we stand for the Pledge of Alligance!
